Mumbai outbeat Karnataka to lift Ranji Trophy
Friday 15 January 2010
Despite Karnataka's best efforts, Mumbai has proved it once again that they were the champions lifting the Ranji Trophy for the 39th time. But it was a disappointing moment for the Karnataka team as they were beaten in the final match played at Mysore by just six runs. Karnataka's Manish Pandey put up a brave fight knocking 144 and his fourth wicket stand with Ganesh Satish was outstanding. But soon wickets started falling one after other and Mumbaikars had their share of joy at the end clinching the title again. -- MP
