Recession hits State revenues

Recession is certainly taking its toll on the State government this year. Maharashtra has reported a revenue loss of Rs 1654 crore revenue, revealed State's finance minister.
"There is a deficit of about four percent of revenue in the current financial year, as the expected revenue was Rs 41,404 crore and we have received Rs 39,750 crore till January end," he informed. --MP
