Nagpur medical college to be upgraded

Nagpur Medical college in Maharastra is one among the 5 governent medical colleges which would get a facelift as its approved for upgradation to AIIMs level medical college proposed by the Center government.
The Union Cabinet has announced its decision to upgrade the exisiting medical college which would be set up as a part of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) programme. An estimated cost of Rs. 150 crores is projected on account of this, of which Central Government will offer Rs. 125 crore and Rs 25 crore by the State govt. --MP
