Dalai Lama fasts from Mumbai hospital

Buddhist Spiritual leader Dalai Lama who was admitted at Mumbai hospital on Thursday underwent a 12 hour fasting from his hospital bed along with his supporters for world peace. He was admitted at the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai following abdominal pain. The condition of 73-year-old Tibetan leader and nobel prize winner is said to be stable and undergoing tests for investigations of abdominal discomfort. However he has cancelled his trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic as he has been advised rest by the doctors. --MP
