The death sentence awarded to Zakir Hussain Noor Mohammed in connection with his involvment in the 1993 Mumbai blasts has been put on hold by the Supreme Court.
This is in view with his appeal to the SC following TADA court's judgement. He was sentenced to death by the Mumbai TADA court for alleged conspiracy in the serial blasts thath rocked Mumbai in March of 1993.
As many as 123 people were accused in the case of which 12 were awarded death penalty.
Of those convicted include Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt whose petition is still pending with SC.
