BoM signs up with ECGC

Bank of Maharastra (BoM) which has the largest network of branches by any Public sector bank in the state of Maharashtra has tied up with Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC) of India to promote the distribution of ECGC's insurance products.
The bank will market export credit insurance products of ECGC through its branches. The agreement regarding this was signed between the Chairman and MD's of both firms.
The new agreement will provide insurance protection against payment risks under various types of ECGC policies at Bank's branches. ECGC would shortly start its services in the domestic credit inurance sector, enabling exporters to insure their domestic receivables, said the company's release.
