It was a day of high drama in Maharastra. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Raj Thackeray who was arrested in Mumbai on Wednesday evening was released on bail a few hours after the arrest.
Amid tight police cover, Raj was arrested for inciting violence following his remarks over the North Indians.
Samajadi Party leader Abu Azmi also was also arrested on similar grounds who too was granted bail.
Soon after the arrest heavy violence were reported from various parts of Maharastra with Raj supporters burning trucks and buses across the state.
Raj was granted bail for a bond of Rs 15000. The leader also has appealed for peace in view of the upcoming examinations.
