The Bombay High Court has put on hold the government's decision on the three-month extension granted to Maharashtra DGP Dr PS Pasricha and Mumbai's commissioner Mr DN Jadhav.

 

The judges set aside the order saying that the Centre's November 30, 2007 orders granting these senior officers extension, was not "reasoned, rational and are also not in the larger public interest." 

 

These officials service tenure was to expire on February 29, 2008 after the 3 month extension.
