Govt gets NHRC notice on recent attacks

Maharastra government was at the recieving end with the National Human Rights Commission sending notice to the government over the recent attacks on the North Indians in the State. Vilasrao Deshmukh government was criticised for the violence that took place as an aftermath of verbal assault by the MNS chief. MNS activists has attacked the Hindi speaking people and the subsequent violence had forced many migrants to rush back to their homes. The MNS chief was arrested and later released on bail. --MP
