Slumdog granted tax free status

Following the Slumdog Millionaire's sweep in the Oscars, the screening of the film has been made tax free in many of the States across the country.

This includes Delhi, Maharastra, Haryana. Lately Chattisgarh government also has followed the trend announcing a entertainment tax exemption in the State with immediate effect.

The film has earned as many as 8 Oscars in its kitty at the 81st Academy Awards.
