Shiv Sena wins Ramtek Lok Sabha seat

Nagpur, April 12, (ANI): Shiv Sena candidate Prakash Jadhav on Thursday won the Ramtek Lok Sabha by-election defeating his nearest rival Subodh Mohite of Congress by a margin of 32,571 votes.Jadhav got 2,31,239 votes while Mohite polled 1,98,668 votes.Meanwhile, Bhartiya Janta Party is leading in Jalgaon and Nationalist Congress Party in Erandol. The by-elections were held on April 9.The Ramtek Lok Sabha seat fell vacant as the sitting MP Mohite left Shiv Sena and joined the Congress, which nominated him for the seat.Jalgaon and Erandol by-elections were held because their sitting MPs, both from BJP, were expelled from the party due to their involvement in the`cash-for-query' scam.
